Description
HD Ramps 10 Foot Hook End Car Trailer Ramps — 5,000 lb Per Axle
Loading a low car onto a trailer is a question of angle. Too short a ramp and the front splitter meets the ramp before the tyre does; too heavy a ramp and nobody wants to set it up twice in a day.
These run 10 feet and weigh 47 lbs each. They carry 5,000 lbs per axle, hook over the trailer edge, and land on a knife foot that lies flat to the ground.
Why Choose These Ramps
Length where it matters, weight you can still carry.
- 10 ft of ramp — reaches deck heights from 20 in to 36 in at an angle a low car will clear.
- 5,000 lb per axle — the rating is per axle, not per pair, so a 10,000 lb vehicle is inside spec.
- 47 lbs per ramp — aircraft-grade aluminum keeps a ten-foot ramp to a one-person lift.
- Knife foot — tapers to the ground so the tyre rolls on instead of climbing a step.
What’s Included
- Pair of HD Ramps 10 ft x 16 in aluminum car trailer ramps
- Hook ends, fitted
- Knife feet, fitted
Made For
Built for loading cars onto open trailers where the deck sits high and the car sits low.
- Open car trailers with 20 in to 36 in deck heights
- Lowered and performance cars with limited approach clearance
- Car haulers and transport operators loading daily
- Race and track teams moving cars to events
- Anyone whose current ramps are too short to clear the front end
Features
- 10 ft length — shallow approach for low ground clearance
- 16 in width — room either side of a car tyre
- 5,000 lb per axle capacity — rated per axle across the pair
- 47 lbs per ramp — one person, one ramp, one trip
- Serrated rung surface — grip in the wet without holding dirt
- Hook attaching end — hooks over the trailer edge and stays put
- Knife foot — flat transition from ground to ramp
- 4-3/4 in profile — low enough to stow under a deck
- Made in the USA — aluminum fabricated domestically
The Two Numbers That Decide Fitment
A ramp is right for a trailer when the deck height falls inside the ramp’s working range. These are rated for 20 in to 36 in — which covers most open car trailers and a good number of flat decks.
Below 20 in the ramp sits too shallow to hook securely; above 36 in the angle steepens past what a low car will clear. Measure the deck before ordering, because that single figure decides whether a ramp works or is dangerous.
The other number is capacity, and here it is per axle — 5,000 lbs on the pair at once, not 5,000 lbs split between them. A 9,000 lb dually loads within spec.
Knife Foot Versus Stub
The foot is the end that sits on the ground, and it comes in two shapes. A stub foot is blunt: it leaves a small step where the tyre first makes contact.
A knife foot tapers to nearly nothing. The tyre rolls onto aluminum without climbing anything, which matters on a car with a low front lip or an air dam, and matters again on the way down when the weight transfers forward.
The surface is serrated rung — open bars with a machined grip pattern, so water and grit fall through rather than sitting on the ramp where the tyre needs traction.
The Right Car Trailer Ramps for Your Trailer
To load a low car onto a high deck, these are the ramps: 10 ft long, 5,000 lbs per axle, 47 lbs each, on a knife foot.
