Description

Rotary SPOA10 Shockwave 10,000 lb Asymmetric Two-Post Car Lift with DC Power and a 25-Second Rise

A standard two-post lift takes 45 seconds to reach full height and another 40 to come back down. That is a minute and a quarter of a tech standing still, and it happens on every single car.

The Rotary SPOA10 Shockwave is a 10,000 lb asymmetric two-post lift with Shockwave DC power. Full rise takes 25 seconds and the descent takes 19. It runs a 5 HP motor on 110V with an onboard charger, and it is ALI Gold Certified.

Why Choose the SPOA10 Shockwave

It is the standard SPOA10 footprint with roughly half the cycle time — same columns, same width, same drive-thru, twice the speed.

  • 25 seconds up, 19 seconds down. The standard SPOA10 we also carry runs 45 and 40 on the same job, off the same 11′ 8 1/2″ columns, the same 11′ 5 3/8″ width and the same 95 1/4″ drive-thru.
  • 5 HP of DC power on a 110V circuit, with an onboard charger. The standard SPOA10 runs a 2 HP motor on 208-230V.
  • Overall height stays at 11′ 8 1/2″ — nine inches under the SPOA10-AV Shockwave, which buys the same 25-second cycle with more column.
  • If your bay needs a drive-thru width chosen at install, the SPOA10-AV Shockwave is the better pick — it sets anywhere from 94 7/8″ to 109 1/2″.

Made For

Rotary builds the SPOA series for shops that see everything come through the door.

  • Auto Dealers
  • Auto Fleets
  • Utility Fleets
  • Auto Repair
  • Collision Repair

Features

  • 10,000 lb capacity — cars, light trucks, vans and full-size SUVs
  • Shockwave DC power, 25-second rise and 19-second descent — roughly half the cycle of a conventional lift
  • 5 HP motor, 110V with an onboard charger — no three-phase service and no 230V drop needed at the post
  • True asymmetrical rotated column design — the vehicle sits back in the bay so the doors open wide
  • Original Double-S column profile — Rotary’s own column section, carried across the SPOA line
  • Performance tested to 20,000 lift cycles — Rotary’s published durability figure for the series
  • ALI Gold Certified — third-party validated on the assembled lift, which most commercial insurers and fleet contracts ask for
  • 95 1/4″ drive-thru clearance, 12′ x 24′ minimum bay — fits a standard service bay without rework

What Shockwave Changes

Shockwave is Rotary’s DC power option, and the published column is specific about what it moves. Full rise goes from 45 seconds to 25. Descent goes from 40 seconds to 19. Rotary’s own line is that Shockwave-equipped lifts are the fastest in the world.

The power unit changes with it. A standard SPOA10 runs 2 HP on 208-230V; the Shockwave build runs 5 HP on 110V with an onboard charger built into the unit, so the lift draws from an ordinary circuit rather than a dedicated 230V drop.

The trade is height at the top of the stroke. Cylinder height goes to 12′ 4 1/2″ and the minimum clear ceiling to 12′ 6″, against 12′ on standard power. Overall height, width, drive-thru clearance, inside columns and minimum bay size are all unchanged. Measure the ceiling before you order.

Asymmetric Lifting and the Double-S Column

The SPOA10’s columns are rotated so the vehicle sits further back in the bay than it would on a symmetric lift. Shorter front arms and longer rear arms put the doors clear of the columns, which is what makes an asymmetric lift worth having on interior and glass work.

The column section itself is Rotary’s Original Double-S design, used across the SPOA line. Rotary publishes a durability figure for the series rather than a marketing claim: performance tested to 20,000 lift cycles.

Certification is ALI Gold, which is third-party validation on the assembled lift rather than on a component or a drawing. It is the standard most commercial insurers and fleet service contracts look for, and it is the reason a certified lift clears a shop inspection that an uncertified one does not.

Configuration Note

This page carries two factory builds of the same machine.

Standard 75 5/8″ rise. Overall height 11′ 8 1/2″, minimum clear ceiling 12′ 6″.
2 Ft. Extension Adds two feet of column above the standard build, using Rotary’s 2′ Height Extension Kit. Rotary publishes no overall height, rise or ceiling figure for the extended column, so none is stated here.

Every spec row below is the Standard configuration. If you are taking the 2 Ft. Extension, measure your ceiling at its lowest point with lights and door tracks included, and talk to us before you order so we can confirm the finished height against your bay.

The Right Two-Post Lift for Your Shop

The SPOA10 Shockwave puts 10,000 lbs in the air in 25 seconds and brings it down in 19, on ALI Gold Certified columns, in the same footprint as the standard SPOA10.

Pick the Standard build or the 2 Ft. Extension to match your bay, and check the 12′ 6″ ceiling figure against the lowest point in the room.

Don’t wait — scroll back up and click the orange Add to Cart button to get this two-post lift on its way to your shop.
