The Atlas TC289 is the extra-large rim-clamp changer that fits the gap. 29 7/8 in internal clamping, 28 in external, 47 in max tire diameter — enough range for the biggest one-ton truck rims and most agricultural tires. Built-in Beadblaster, an adjustable bead breaker plate that accommodates 14 3/4 in to 18 1/2 in wheel widths, and the same TC22X build quality.

Extra-Large Turntable Solves the One-Ton Truck Problem

Standard rim-clamp changers like the TC221 and TC229 max out around 25 1/4 in internal clamping — fine for most cars and light trucks, but not enough for one-ton truck rims (typically 17 in to 22 in but with deep offsets), large SUV alloys, or agricultural tires. The TC289’s extra-large turntable extends that range to 29 7/8 in internal and 28 in external.

Combined with the adjustable bead breaker plate (14 3/4 in or 18 1/2 in positions), the TC289 handles the wider tire widths that come with those larger rims. For a shop running a mixed fleet that includes one-ton trucks, ag tires, or lifted off-road builds, that range matters.
