Description

Black Widow Extra-Long Approach Ramp — 40 Inches Onto the ProLift HD

The standard ramp on a motorcycle lift table is 20 inches. Onto a deck sitting at 7 inches that is a steep little climb, and it is steepest exactly where a heavy bike is hardest to control — at walking pace, from a standstill.

This ramp is 40 inches — double the length, half the angle. It fits the BW-PROLIFT-HD and comes with grip tape across the surface.

Why Choose the Extra-Long Ramp

Twice the run-up, half the gradient.

  • 40 in of ramp — twice the standard 20 in, which halves the climb angle onto the deck.
  • Grip tape fitted — traction under a tyre that may be wet or oily from the shop floor.
  • 24 in width — matches the ProLift HD deck exactly.
  • 27 lbs — lifted on and off by one person when it is in the way.

What’s Included

  • Black Widow extra-long approach ramp, 40 in
  • Grip tape, fitted

Made For

Built for ProLift HD owners loading heavier or lower machines.

  • Full-dress touring bikes and baggers
  • Low-slung customs with limited ground clearance
  • Shops loading the table several times a day
  • Anyone pushing a bike up rather than riding it up
  • Bikes with long, low exhaust runs

Features

  • 40 in length — double the standard ProLift ramp
  • 24 in width — full deck width, no edge to miss
  • 4 in height — low lip where it meets the floor
  • Grip tape surface — traction added across the whole ramp
  • 27 lb weight — handled without help
  • BW-PROLIFT-HD specific — designed to that table’s mounting
  • Removable — comes off once the bike is on the deck
  • Drop-in replacement — swaps for the standard ramp

Angle Is the Only Thing That Changes

Ramp length and ramp angle are the same conversation. Doubling the length from 20 to 40 inches over the same deck height roughly halves the gradient the bike has to climb.

On a light bike that is a convenience. On a 900 lb tourer being walked up by one person it is the difference between a controlled push and a moment where the bike stops halfway and starts rolling back.

Low machines feel it too. A shorter, steeper ramp creates a sharper break-over at the top edge, which is where a low exhaust or belly fairing makes contact.

Grip Where It Is Needed

A bare aluminium or steel ramp is slick under a tyre carrying shop-floor oil or rainwater from outside. The grip tape on this one covers the surface so the tyre has something abrasive to push against from the first inch.

That matters most on the walk-up, where the rider is beside the bike and cannot correct a slipping rear wheel with throttle.

At 27 lbs and 24 inches wide, the ramp lifts clear once the machine is on the table, so it is not underfoot while you work.

The Right Approach Ramp for Your Table

To load heavy or low bikes onto a ProLift HD without a steep climb, this is the ramp: 40 in long, 24 in wide, grip taped, 27 lbs.
